来る Firefox 3.5.3 と Firefox 3.0.14 では、旧版 Adobe Flash Player プラグインがインストールされている場合、派手に警告が出るようになる模様です。ついに。

警告画面の画像も掲載されています。"Update right now" って来るようです、ASAP とか悠長な言い方ではなく。
まあ、ローカライズはされるでしょうから、実際には日本語で「今すぐ」って表示だろうとは思いますです。
それにしても、最新版 Flash の人は 20% 位しかいないと云うことらしいです。うーん。
引用記事(Heise Mediaのモノ)のさらに元になった報告書(PDF) を読んでいないのではっきりと分かりませんが、たぶんこの値は全ブラウザーの平均値なのだろうと思います。 ですから Firefox に限ればもう少しマシなんではないかと想像しますが。

Adobe Reader に到っては、脆弱性のある旧版が "almost 84 per cent of the computers studied." だそうですので、さらに状況は厳しいです。
Heise Media の記事では、Flash に関してはブラウザ別のコメントもあります。Google Chrome の Patch 率が高く、Firefox も同程度らしいですが、Chrome の場合、その理由が "which installs updates without requiring user confirmation," だから、と分析されてます。(w それはそれで怖いぞー、Chrome、と思いますです。
